BCAT is a small, but highly ambitious Academy Trust consisting of 3 secondary schools in Kent, Barton Court Grammar School, The Charles Dickens School and the new free school, Barton Manor School.

Barton Court Grammar School (BCGS) is a state, selective, co-educational school with a strong reputation for its high academic standards and its caring and supportive ethos. The School is an accredited ‘Advanced Thinking School’ and is also the lead school of Barton Court Academy Trust (BCAT). The Charles Dickens School (CDS), a state, non-selective, co-educational secondary school joined BCAT on 1 March 2017 and Barton Manor School (BMS), our free school, which is also a non-selective co-educational secondary school opened in September 2022 to Year 7.

Our School

Barton Court Grammar School (BCGS) is a state, selective, co-educational school with a strong reputation for its high academic standards and its caring and supportive ethos. In February 2020 Ofsted judged the school to be ‘good’ and it possessed many ‘outstanding’ features. The School is an accredited ‘Advanced Thinking School’ and is also the lead school of Barton Court Academy Trust (BCAT).

The Post

Required for 1 September 2024, the Trustees are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and qualified Temporary MFL Teacher to cover a maternity absence and to teach French and German across KS3-KS4. The successful candidate will be a joining a team of highly skilled MFL teachers at Barton Court Grammar School. Both French and Spanish are taught in KS5.

The successful candidate should be able to deliver excellence in the classroom, providing innovative and inspirational teaching and learning.  This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced candidate to work with colleagues to build a vibrant and outstanding department.  This post is suitable for an experienced professional looking to further their expertise or an ECT.
